Hello, June!
Hi there, Faerie Friends! Can you believe it is June already? It feels like May just flitted in and flew right by us in a whirlwind. I suppose that’s sort of how May always treats us, but it never ceases to leave me a bit winded!
As we tiptoe into June, I must admit that life is not ideal or idyllic over here in my neck of the woods. Though I am so happy to have warm weather, sunny skies, and to have my three children home with me for most of the next two months, our family is facing some stressful challenges right now. My daughter is dealing with health issues and is on the road to getting a life-altering diagnosis, so things are heavy right now.
Due to this challenge - and also the happier factor of wanting to spend more analog time with my kiddos - I will probably be sharing less-structured and less-planned posts in favor of quicker ones during the summer. I still plan to be here with at least 1-2 posts per week, but I envision more of those coming from plant-centered recipes the kids and I make together and nature adventures we have, versus the more researched articles, during these summer months.
Then, once August arrives and my wildlings return to school, I’ll be ready to shift back into study mode myself and will go back to sharing deeper dives into the herbs once more - but always in the fun, cozy, approachable manner you’re used to here.
So, let’s sum this up with a small preview of what I imagine is to come this summer, here at The Herbology Faerie—
Easy recipes for herbal sun teas, popsicles, backyard foot soaks, sweet treats made with fresh herbs + fruits…
Fun tidbits of folklore and magic surrounding summertime plants and the summer solstice…
Snapshots as I take you along on some of my family’s summertime outdoor adventures…
Book reviews as I find time to relax with good books in the shade…
Nothing formal, just plants and fun!
Does this sound good to you?
What are your plans for the summer?
